国产探花鈥檚 collegiate chapter of the National Association for Music Education is the 2017 recipient of the organization鈥檚 Collegiate Chapter of Excellence Award in the Professional Development category.

The award is given to NAfMe collegiate chapters who have made a significant contribution to music education through successful chapter activities.

鈥淐onsidering the number of chapters in the country, it is truly a great honor for the hard work that you and your students have displayed throughout the year,鈥 said NAfME President William McDevitt in a letter of congratulations to the University.

There are 656 active collegiate chapters of NAfME across the nation, according to Thomas Stefaniak, Director of Membership, Constituency Engagement and Organizational Development at NAfME. The non-profit group is among the world鈥檚 largest arts education organizations and is the only association that addresses all aspects of music education.

鈥淲e are very pleased to be honored in this way by NAfME and it is certainly a well-deserved recognition of our dedicated, Music Education faculty,鈥 said NJCU President Sue Henderson. She added the award further underscores NJCU鈥檚 commitment to furthering its Center for the Arts, a program designed to bring the University鈥檚 myriad music, visual, film, performing and literacy arts activities under one creative umbrella, as well as to promote and 国产探花 exhibitions and performances on and off campus.
