Teacher, artist, NJCU alumna celebrates 100 years of life

����̽�� (NJCU) alumna Bertha Dolores Wilson Miller ‘87 has a century’s worth of experience and memories, as the alumna celebrated living a full life on her 100th birthday on June 8. Miller reminisced about her time as an NJCU student and described it as a “crossroads” moment in her professional career.

“I became a reading specialist because I love working with children,” said Miller about her reasons for continuing her education.

Acebo earns praise ahead of Higher Ed Committee meeting on NJCU monitoring report

The state Senate and Assembly Higher Education Committees will meet Monday for a joint hearing to receive testimony on the findings of ����̽��’s Fiscal & Governance Monitoring Report and Accountability Plan. The intent of the hearing is to hear the status of benchmarks related to NJCU’s fiscal stability and recommendations about future steps needed to best serve the university’s students.

The Guarini Institute for International Education and Economic Mobility at ����̽�� next week will launch , a portal that facilitates information on financial ����̽�� of pediatric cancer patients. The launch will include a virtual panel discussion (from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday) that will discuss the impact of childhood cancer on the financial stability and economic mobility of families and communities.

N.J. congresswoman asks college heads to fight antisemitism on campus

U.S. Rep. , D-11th Dist., wrote to the presidents of more than 40 of New Jersey’s colleges and universities Monday, urging them to address the rise of antisemitism . The presidents were quick to respond.
