Attention K-12 school leaders, librarians, educators in all disciplines (yes, even the arts and humanities!): You can receive foundational pedagogy plus the hands-on experience to integrate STEM into your teaching and learning spaces with new our STEM Certificate Program.

  • Four online courses
  • Facilitated asynchronous program with an active-learning, virtual lab experience

  • Receive a coding robot and instruction for immediate classroom implementation

  • Two flexible pathways:

    • A non-credit course option available to school district partners that enroll cohorts of their faculty or staff in 7-week sessions

    • Graduate credit in the Master of Arts in Educational Technology courses in 15-week sessions each semester. Earn 12 credits toward a 36-credit Master of Arts degree in Educational Technology or a Master of Arts degree in Educational Technology with School Library Media Specialist certification. 

  • Learn equity-focused STEM practices at a minority- and Hispanic-serving urban university that is one of the most diverse institutions in the state.

The STEM Certificate Program is provided through generous funding made possible by the Martinson Family Foundation. Since 1998, the Martinson Family Foundation has funded and guided dedicated programs at universities to enhance STEM instruction for K-12 students. The Foundation seeks innovation in curriculum, teaching methods, and professional development.
