Finding Funding

Finding Funding

Listed below are some of the funding resources that are available to all NJCU faculty and staff. The ORGSP staff is available for assistance and/or training in accessing and using all of these services. Please contact the ORGSP to request any assistance.

Students seeking financial assistance for tuition, books, etc., should visit NJCU's Financial Aid page.

Research Professional (Pivot-RP)

NJCU subscribes to Pivot-RP, a comprehensive and trusted source that connects grant-seekers with available funding opportunities and lists all pertinent details, including the sponsor, funding category (keywords), amount, application requirements and deadlines, and sources for additional information. Pivot-RP enables users to mark opportunities in order to track them.

With Pivot, users can also:

  • identify collaborators
  • receive tailored funding recommendations and alerts
  • gain insights from previously-awarded grants
  • inform funding strategies with Pivot's authoritative global funding news and analysis service.

Grant Resource Center at the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (GRC)

GRC provides access to a complete suite of tools, services, and expertise to improve an office鈥檚 efficiency and increase an institution鈥檚 success in securing competitive grants from federal and private sponsors. NJCU's GRC membership provides access to GRC's sponsor database, publications, and social media platforms. The GRC website also houses sample research administration policies and a library of funded proposals.

GRC鈥檚 search engine includes approximately 1,500 private and federal funding opportunities screened for higher education eligibility. Search results provide a high proportion of viable opportunities because the database excludes solicitations that are limited to a specific region, make fewer than three awards annually, and for which higher education institutions are not eligible to apply or partner.

National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity (NCFDD)

Founded in 2010, the NCFDD is an independent professional development, training, and mentoring community for faculty and post-doctoral and graduate students. This professional development organization's mission is to change the face of power at academic institutions. The NCFDD aims to strengthen the higher education system and improve the academic experience for all.
